SofaClinic By Archifords started as a small furniture repair workshop in Kabete and has since grown into one of Nairobi's most trusted names in reupholstery — with over 200 completed projects ranging from imported sofas and recliners to office chairs, cabinets and custom curtains. Every piece that comes through our doors is handled the same way: stripped back, assessed honestly, and rebuilt by hand rather than patched over.
We believe good furniture is worth saving. Instead of encouraging customers to replace a sofa at the first sign of wear, we look at what's actually underneath a worn cover — the frame, the foam, the joinery — and give it the attention it needs to last another decade, at a fraction of the cost of buying new.

David founded SofaClinic By Archifords out of a simple conviction: that skilled hands and honest workmanship could give tired furniture a second life. What began as hands-on repair work in Kabete has grown into a full workshop trusted across Nairobi for reupholstery, restoration and custom furniture builds.
He continues to lead the workshop today, overseeing every project personally and training the team of craftsmen who carry that same standard of care into each piece that comes through the door.
